MATANAO DAVAO DEL SUR NEEDS YOUR HELP
Our small town was struck by devastating earthquakes that hit various parts of Mindanao in the Philippines. The series of earthquakes started in October 16, 2019 and has striked 3 times (all of which were over 6+ in magnitude) causing massive damage and has affected so many people.
The NDRRMC said a total of 3,220 structures including 2,617 houses, 513 schools, 20 health facilities, 30 other public structures, six places of worship, 26 private and commercial establishments and eight roads and bridges were affected by the quakes. Of the total, 1,366 were destroyed while 1,845 were damaged. There were also 17 fatalities recorded as of today.
The towns affected including our hometown are not equipped to handle such disaster thus so many people are still displaced and homeless. They are scared to go back to their houses and are sleeping in makeshift tents without proper evacuation plan.
The donation raised from this campaign will be used to provide victims with the following:
1. Relief goods
2. Clean water supply
3. Medicine
4. Tents, blanket & pillows
5. Emergency kits
My brother Dominic who is on the ground will be coordinating with our local government to bring help to those who need it more, specially the ones in remote areas.
Your help and generosity will go a very long way in helping the victims. Thank you so much!
