Hi, I’m Duncan Rittschof of Duncan’s Books and More. Let me start with telling you a little bit about my business and passion. I sell books, online and at local events around Arizona. I began building my little bookstore about seven years ago, selling on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and other online venues. A few years later, I expanded the business into the arena of assisting local authors at events around our community, helping them with taxes and allowing them to focus on interacting with their fans. Unfortunately, the last year or so, sales online have slowed drastically preventing me from doing going to as many events as I’d like and we are struggling with purchasing inventory for the business.
I love sharing my love of books, sharing stories with the world every day. Books are my life, not only my business but I love reading and talking about the books I love with my customers. I love helping the authors I work with promote their books and help get them more fans. I believe books make the world a better place, giving us dreams and knowledge. I want to keep my dream alive.
I know that getting good inventory keeps a business running smoothly. In addition, having a stellar website can generate interest and generate sales. But without more capital, it is impossible to be able to do these two things as well as I would like. That’s why I’m asking for help. I am asking for help so I can build up my inventory, buying more books from a variety of sources. I also am looking for help with my website. I don’t have a background in web design and would love to hire someone who does to help me make my website someplace that people will come visit to meet the authors I support and find a good home for my books. There are also business supplies, like t-shirts for events and business promotional materials that I would love to get to bring more attention to my little business. We are looking to raise $6,000 to buy more inventory, business supplies and get someone to help with the website.
