Please help Kira!

Hi. We are friends of Kira’s trying to help her out.

Kira was struck by a car 2 weeks ago.

In her words, “I’m so lucky to be alive today. Last night (12/19/2021) I was struck by a car that ran a red light. They never stopped either! Left me in the middle of the road with a broken leg…”

Kira’s broken leg was an open fracture of both her tibia and fibula. From above her knee to her ankle, on both the front of her leg and the back, she has stitches and staples, and a rod to help piece her leg together. Her achilles tendon was torn as well. Her recovery is estimated at 3-9 months. She is currently in a wheelchair, and cannot put any weight on her injured leg.

We are all so thankful that the only major trauma was to her leg. Abrasions and bruising are all healing. Miraculously and amazingly, she didn’t sustain any internal or head injuries. The driver was estimated to have been traveling at approximately 70+ miles per hour and still has not been located.

Last year was a very tough one for Kira. Life spiraled down when COVID hit. Loss of housing and a job created a very difficult and challenging situation. It has only been very recently that she has secured a steady, reliable job. Life was finally looking up and falling into place. Now all is very fragile.

Kira is such a sweet, kind and caring gal. She is a fighter, yet so many setbacks are tough to overcome. Your gift will help this young woman to try and piece her life back together as she heals and rehabilitates. Donations will take the burden of keeping a roof over her head and food to sustain her as she works so very hard to get back on her feet - literally.
