Electric generator for my school in Ukraine

Your help is needed!

Dear friends, the time has come when I ask for your help. As you know, Ukraine is still suffering from the terrible war that russia brought to our land. russian troops cannot defeat the Ukrainian army on the battlefield, so they barbarically destroy the country's energy system, so the civilian population suffers from the cold and lack of electricity and water this winter. 50% of Ukraine's energy system has already been destroyed, and a complete blackout is approaching the country.

My mother still lives in Ukraine. She is a deputy director at the school I graduated from in Bila Tserkva town, Kyiv region. Children are still studying in this school. Unfortunately, long-term power outages lead to electricity cuts and simultaneous heating outages in the school. During air raid alerts (almost every day), children spend 4-5 hours in the school bomb shelter, where it is essential to have electricity and the opportunity to warm up because the weather in the city is already freezing and it’s snowing.

I understand that I cannot save the whole country, but I want to help this particular school, which will help hundreds of children and their families. I studied in this school, I grew up in this area, and I am grateful to my teachers for whom I became. 

So, I am asking you for help raising funds to purchase an electric generator for this school.

The generator will enable:

- to warm children and adults staying in the shelter during air raid alerts (it is possible to connect special fan heaters to it);

- to charge mobile gadgets to continue using them to conduct lessons in the shelter and to be in constant contact with relatives and friends. From my experience, I can say that there is nothing more important in this situation than being able to receive an "I'm safe" message from your loved ones.

After consulting with specialists, I found that we should purchase a Hyundai DHY8500LEK-T diesel electric generator with a capacity of 7.5 kW and a cost of 2,800 Euros. So, I'm opening a fundraiser for a total of 3,500 Euros (which will also help cover the cost of logistics)

Any donation amount will help! Kudos to everyone who participates in this program. And I believe we will not let these children freeze and allow them to continue schooling and stay in touch with their relatives.
