<div>Jose was someone who could be described as a caring and loving father, grandfather, brother, and son. Growing up his sons always knew him to be the "Best Dad", as he always prioritized his family. He not only was a family man, but also a man with Faith. He served our Heavenly Father and the Catholic Community at the church of St. Monica in Carpentersville.

<div>Jose's health had been complicated as he had previously undergone a kidney transplant and suffered three heart attacks. The most recent was mid-2023, which caused him to be hospitalized in the Intensive Care Unit for about a month. When discharged from the hospital, he had to undergo dialysis once a week and was on life-long medications.

<div>Jose is survived by his sons Jonathan, Edwin, and Uriel; as well as his two grandchildren, Ermias and Leo.

<div>La salud de José había sido complicada ya que previamente se había sometido a un trasplante de riñón y sufrió tres infartos. El más reciente fue a mediados de 2023, lo que provocó que estuviera internado en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos durante aproximadamente un mes. Cuando le dieron el alta del hospital, tuvo que someterse a diálisis una vez por semana y estaba tomando medicamentos de por vida.
