Entropion surgeries for Ruger

Donation protected
Hello !!

My name is Ruger, I’m a golden retriever puppy. I was diagnosed with Entropion at 17 weeks old. If your don’t know what that is it’s ok my mom and dad didn’t either. It is a genetic disorder where my eye lids roll inward and scrape, damage and irritate my eye balls. I started to have really watery eyes at 10-11 weeks old. At the time vet#1 said it was just allergy’s. When that didn’t clear up with medicine mom took me to vet #2 who said it was probably an eye infection and gave us more medicine. Mom was suspicious at this point and started doing research when she saw that my lower eye lid actually rolled inside and thought that was the issue. Good old google gave her the information that this is what I had. On to vet #3 who confirmed moms worst fears, this vet also asked if mom wanted to surrender me or consider euthanasia. Mom said absolutely not and took me home and brought me to my current vet who also confirmed the diagnosis immediately without mom saying a word. They told mom about how this would not be easy and with me being so young it was going to be a very long and expensive process but 100% corrective. At this visit I was also diagnosed as cryptorchid, another genetic disorder that should have been noticed by doctors by the time I was 8 weeks old. My vet told my mom and dad they could correct my cryptorchidism at 6 months old but my eye couldn’t wait as I already had a corneal ulcer. She referred me to an ophthalmologist who we love!! I had my first surgery on my mommy’s birthday March 14, 2019! Since then I have had 3 other surgeries on my left eye including my current successful permanent surgery on May 3, 2019! I also was cured from my Cryptorchidism on April 23, 2019. Just two weeks after my permanent eye surgery, sadly my right eye began to show the same signs but much worse and at a faster rate. I had to start my first batch of surgeries on my right eye May 20, 2019. I also have a contact lens in my eye and my mom and dad have to put two different drops in my eye 4 times a day! I hate drops but they are helping me so much! I am hoping for a speedy recovery as well as to be able too be cured as soon as possible. Without these surgeries I was in excruciating pain and had a very high risk of loosing my sight. With my parents getting the best care for me they possibly could, it is also quite expensive. If you are able to we would greatly appreciate any help you could offer. We would also love it if you could pray for me to get better.

Thank you
