Field Turfing Piatelli Baseball Field

We seek your support in a historic undertaking for MNLL as we look to invest and renovate Piatelli Field and bring it up to competitive footing.

Each year, more than 500 Milton families enjoy the feeling of watching their sons and daughters play under the lights in our own neighborhood sandlot. Despite the global pandemic that has gripped our community and the world for the past 18 months, this has been one place that has felt “fairly normal” and allowed our children the opportunity to have a social outlet and interactions.

It’s hard to not feel nostalgic as we enjoy a hot dog and a cold soda from the snack shack while watching our kids build their skills both on and off the field. Skills such as sportsmanship, perseverance, or team building to name a few. We are inviting you to become part of MNLL history and to build something for our children and generations to come.

What Are We Seeking To Do?

We are looking to raise funds for the installation of a turf field at Piatelli. The installation of a turf field will allow for safer play for our young men and women, more consistent play, and fewer rain days (allowing for MORE game days).

Additionally, the installation of turf will reduce our annual maintenance expense for Piatelli’s upkeep and the subsequent frequency of our major capital campaigns, allowing us to invest that capital into additional events for our children.

Work is anticipated to begin this coming fall & winter so the new field is ready for the spring season. Piatelli Field will become one of the most desirable fields to play on in the state and give our community and families a home field to be proud of.

How Much Are We Seeking To Raise?

$300K of the more than $500K total project cost. It might sound like a big number, but to put that in perspective, every three to five years, MNLL spends approximately $45K to replace the fields and accrues an annual maintenance expense of $6K. We expect that we will need to replace the turf every 12-15 years and the annual maintenance will decrease to effectively $0.

The name of each donor for these Clubs will be memorialized at Piatelli. The top donors will have their choice of the following items with five-year naming rights:
