Hold GE & Monsanto Accountable Treat Don'tDumpPCBs
Tax deductible
General Electric polluted our river, land and air by dumping toxic PCBs throughout The Berkshires in Massachusetts for decades. People, dogs, and cats have been dying. EPA will allow GE to leave huge amounts of toxic chemical in the river. Just like EPA did on the failed Hudson River PCB cleanup. Our politicians assured Berkshire County that the PCBs would be sent to a licensed facility. Behind everyone’s backs EPA, GE, and the politicians have changed the plan and will allow GE to dump their toxins in Lee and Lenox Dale, MA. saving GE $250,000,000! The toxic dump will be a thousand feet from the river, 1000 feet in elevation, and 1.1 miles from our town reservoir. 5 of our surrounding schools are located less than within 1/2 to 2 miles of the proposed General Electric Toxic PCB Dump. Hundreds of trucks will be transporting these toxic PCBs through our neighborhoods for 13 years. Through the residential neighborhoods of Housatonic, Great Barrington, Lee, Lenox, and Lenox Dale Massachusetts. A renowned geologist calls it a textbook example of where not to build any kind of a dump. Please help us fight for our children, animals, our towns, and the Housatonic River and floodplains. TREAT DON’T DUMP !!! We have been fighting for the proper treatment for 30-plus years.
