But today, he's in the midst of a more daunting challenge than any he encountered in the ring—a severe battle with traumatic brain injury (TBI) from years of competition. This battle isn't just Todd's to fight; it's ours too, let's help Todd Fight the Fight.
Since hanging up his gloves, Todd has grappled with the debilitating effects of TBI, a fate all too common among combat sports athletes. The condition has stolen more from Todd than just his health; it has plunged him into significant financial difficulty, limiting access to critical, life-enhancing treatments.
One treatment has shown great promise in easing Todd’s symptoms: hyperbaric therapy. Known for its ability to accelerate the body's natural healing, this therapy has been a beacon of hope for Todd, offering a chance to regain pieces of the life TBI tried to take away. However, the costs are overwhelming, and maintaining the equipment and other medical expenses is too heavy for Todd to shoulder alone.
