Fighting for Life & Family against COVID-19

This fundraiser was started for Mark and Maria Mora Brandt, and their family.

They are originally from Michigan but have been stuck in California after bring their parents back home. On the second day of traveling, Mark, and then Maria’s mom, were hospitalized due to COVID-19. Away from their home, business, and friends, Maria and their son Jayden wait at a hotel praying for their loved ones to pull through. 

Here’s the first post Maria posted a couple of days ago, telling the world of their ordeal and asking for help :

“Okay here it goes my first post since all this has started ! For those of you who don’t know may I share now - My family is everything to me and I have been distant for various circumstances! We left to bring my mom and dad back to California from Michigan. We brought Jayden with us for help and left the others with Mom and dad Brandt back home ! Our trip here was suppose to be short - not so ! Everyone that reads this just take every precautions to be safe from Covid -it is real ! It is killing people everyday ! On day 2 my Husband Mark fell terribly ill and was hospitalized Fighting Covid my mom entered the hospital and has Covid . I am stuck at the hotel with Jayden waiting and praying - praise god for little men to help me take care of dad . I have been on my knees praying every minute for light at the end of the tunnel ! While I sat and cried in huge turmoil worried for all my family I miss Joey - Jacob - Holly and so appreciate mom and dad Brandt for helping . My in laws have fallen ill too and this Covid is very REAl very serious! I pray you all stay safe and free from illness . I don’t know how long I will be gone as of yet . My husband is not out of the woods yet but is getting better thank god - my mom is lost without my dad .I am trying so hard to keep my smile on my face not lose faith and know nothing else matters when faced with uncertain times with this deadly virus . I have been given the time - the tears - the special moments to lean on dear friends - faith and understanding that we are truly blessed to be here alive . I ask for everyone to pray - reach out and offer anything I can get at this point . We are witnessing great times and in light of all this let us lift one another up with love - encouragement- I am NOT good at asking for help. I appreciate those whom have reached out just to share they care - I appreciate you and so want all my family to heal - be together again and make it thru all this ! This has given me time to remodel my weaknesses hold steadfast adding features to grow spiritually and not let the adversary suck me into failure . My words imperfect - poorly written but i don’t care. When we are tired nothing is detailed in good report anyway - Heavenly Father has designed my home as my engineer with love - strength and faith ! I will not let this temporary set back weaken me . Please pray for my entire family - support my business upon my return - I can’t wait to get back home to Michigan . I will be so honored to get back to doing what I love again . So , if you have had cancellations without any further notice this is why ! - This is a huge burden to bear for me and I ask all of you whom have prayer chains please put us on your lists . Contact me private as I can be more descriptive about my needs or vent . May answers come from my requests in prayer or perhaps have answers or help! Mark has been moved to a different room now and on series 4 of 6 stages of treatment - still needing oxygen to breathe but in good spirits - mom is in a lot of pain so I pray they can help ease her suffering . I am feeling better today since I haven’t been sleeping well rightly so but so appreciate little Jayden for helping me - Joey for holding the fort down - mom and dad Brandt for loving the kids despite they have been ill too . God have mercy on all of us and thank you in advance for Any messages - calls or any assistance you can give our family in prayer or encouragement ! I met Maria (and Mark)a couple of years ago when I began getting massages at their local business. Maria is such a sweet soul with incredible love and spirit. She loves her family and feels blessed everyday for the people around her and the things she has.

I wanted to start this fundraiser for them, to help them with any medical finances they may have, and any other bills etc that come from being out of state staying in a hotel. Any help you can give (no amount is too small,) will help decrease the burden of financial worries, and help with some of the mental worry which can slow healing. During a crisis such as this one, all anyone wants is to concentrate on their family and being by their side, not having to worry about anything else.
