Alex's Cancer Treatment Fund
Donation protected
Alex is my amazingly sweet and loving 11 year old cousin, who always has a big smile gracing her face. She gets excited about everything but her main passions are the arts, surf and she loves animals. Her life was upside down by an unexpected diagnosis a year ago following a leg pain checkup. The doctors discovered Ewing's sarcoma, which is a rare type of bone cancer, which can also affect some soft tissues, found mainly in teenagers and young adults.
Alex has bravely gone through 12 rounds of chemotherapy including a high-dose one with transplantation of stem cells and 3 week isolation, a big operation to remove the tumour in the Rizzoli Orthopedic Institute in Bologna, Italy
and she is currently back in Italy for some radiotherapy and tests.
In order to help raise the funds for her treatment and recovery and also raise awareness of this disease, I completed a solo cycling challenge from Lisbon,Portugal to my hometown Sofia in Bulgaria, covering over 5 000 kilometers. If you would like to know more about the journey, you can follow the page: www.facebook.com/bike4alex
All monetary donations go directly towards Alex's treatment and recovery expenses - please support us by sharing this page, and any contribution, big or small, will go a long way.Your support is greatly appreciated by Alex, myself and our whole family!
p.s: Anything that is left from this fund will be donated for research of the disease.
