Funding Taylor's Peaceful Farewell

My name is Iolani Summerfield and I’m the daughter of Taylor Summerfield. On December 5, 2023, my mother went into cardiac arrest and was found by her son Priece. The ambulance was called and they performed life-saving measures until they got to the hospital. She died 5 times before they finally got a pulse. Taylor was put on life support and she fought for her life while her family prayed for her.

At the hospital, they confirmed that she not only went into cardiac arrest but also had a brain bleed which later led to a stroke, 1,250 blood sugar level, sepsis, DKA, and kidney failure. She went into a diabetic coma for 4 days. The neurologist said that she most likely wouldn’t come out of the coma alive but 12 hours later she defied the odds and woke up out of the coma with proper brain function.

She survived the initial trauma and went through with the journey of healing her body. She made it out of the Intensive Care Unit at Spring Valley Hospital and into acute long term care and then finally a long-term rehabilitation facility. She was doing so well. She was getting physical and speech therapy. The last thing she was able to do was sit up all by herself on Saturday, May 25, 2024. God took her home on Sunday, May 26, 2024 at 6:19pm. The doctors said she died from cardiac pulmonary arrest, her heart just stopped and it was time for her to go home.

She survived the impossible and was granted rest and peace in the very end. It was a hard journey but she did it! She made it! My family wants to cremate her in water, we think it's more peaceful and it's eco-friendly! Thank you all for reading and donating. May Taylor enjoy her time in paradise, she has all eternity.
