Surgery Recovery

I’ve been diagnosed this year with IC and Endometriosis, I will be getting surgery late February and will be out of work for 6-8 weeks, (I am currently a nanny and will not be able to pick up the baby for some time).
But....YOUR GIRL IS GETTING SURGERY! ♀️
What many of you don’t know is since the time i was 8 years old (the time I got my cycle, yes very young) I have been experiencing symptoms from endometriosis. That being said this past year health wise I have been in the hospital a total of 10+times, I have met with 6 gynecologists/3+ specialists, been to 5+ urgent cares, and 3 different primary care doctors. I have finally met the surgeon who will take care of me and rid me of endometriosis and lesions around my bladder And hopefully help alleviate my new IC diagnosis.
Endometriosis effects 1/10 women and is much more critical you deal with ASAP and MUCH harder to deal with than MANY people know. It can take women on average 7-12 years to get diagnosed- and the longer you wait the longer your ORGANS will suffer. This is not a painful period. I have a new symptom daily and weekly cannot walk because of this disease. I’ve cut my work hours in half and I STILL call off weekly.
Late February I will be receiving a 4 incision excision abdominal / pelvic surgery. I will be recovering 6-8 weeks as an absolute couch potato.
Feel free to send books references (or even the actual book), favorite movies, music, crafts (that can be done from bed), and any ideas to help the time pass!
This is a very exciting day as by a few months into 2019 I will finally regain my health back!
