Support the World Premiere of Girlfails

Hello, my name is AJ Bloomfield and I am fundraising to produce the World Premiere of Girlfails, a new play by Philadelphia playwright Liv Shoup. This production is entirely produced, directed, designed, and created by a team of theater professionals who daylight as students. We are all incredibly excited to bring this work to the stage and share the story of Frankie and Joy, as they transition into adulthood and encounter a few fails along the way.

By supporting this work, you not only help us create this show and share it with the world, but you are also pulling back the curtain on the creative process, as we will document and share the inner workings of the production on social media and in a commemorative zine. This show means a lot to all of us involved and we are committed to advocating for inclusion in the theatre community and highlighting underrepresented voices. Girlfails is my senior capstone project as an Entertainment Production and Design major at Drexel University. During my time at Drexel, I have honed my craft as a theater maker and designer, but this project has allowed me to work alongside my talented peers to create a completely new theatrical work - something I had not yet had the opportunity to do.

Tickets will go on sale in mid-April. Supporters of this campaign will receive early access!

Donations of $50 and up will also receive a copy of our commemorative Girlfails zine, a Girlfails sticker, and a Girlfails button.
