The North Bay chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America is raising money to provide free brake- and head-light repairs to the citizens of Sonoma County, as part of an ongoing, nationwide project to help everyone avoid traffic stops and harmful--even lethal--interactions with the police over minor infractions.
Around $500 will be put towards the first clinic, and the remaining $500 will go towards assisting clinics in San Francisco, San Jose, and the East Bay, and towards other mutual aid projects the North Bay chapter is hoping to pursue.
Your donation will help the North Bay DSA purchase brake lights, provide food and beverages to volunteers and attendees, and reimburse the help provided by certified mechanics, if necessary.
We will also be hosting an in-person fundraiser at Oasis Community Farm in Petaluma on July 13th, from 7-10pm. If you would like to attend, tickets with a suggested donation of $10-20 are available on EventBrite:
