Great Britain Ultimate teams support

Every year, Great Britain teams compete in World and European Ultimate Championships in the Mixed, Women’s and Open divisions, across age-groups from Juniors to Grandmasters.

Playing Ultimate for Great Britain is expensive. Most players have to meet costs of between £1.5k-£2.5k a year whilst competing in a GB team (including travel and accommodation at the tournament, but also the cost of training sessions, warm-up tournaments and so on).

If you are considering making a donation to support our athletes, thank-you. You can donate to the GB Programme as a whole, or in some cases, specifically to one of the teams.

Donations to the GB Programme will go towards building a fund that we use to reduce team-support costs that players currently have to meet when competing for a GB team. Our first goal is to cover the cost of the medical staff that support the teams during competition. We will prioritise support to the most expensive events first, working towards all players having the same medical costs initially, and then hopefully reducing that cost to zero. Over the long-run these costs are approximately £1500 per team, although all costs associated with GB teams can vary greatly, depending on the location of the event.

Donations to a specific GB team will go towards reducing all of the costs being paid by the members of that team, such as Team & Player Fees, training & warm-up tournament costs, support staff costs.
