Han Oak Staff Disaster Relief Fund
Donation protected
Though Han Oak has been home to our small family of four we are nothing without our dedicated staff. They work incredibly hard often while holding a small child in one arm. They look out for each other and are far more valuable beyond what they provide for us. Their stories are varied- funny, sad, beautiful and inspired and we're lucky to have them in our lives. We've struggled together and reaped the rewards of success together. They are the sum of all our parts and they deserve everything.
Our hearts are broken that we were forced to lay off every single one of them and close our doors to all that have supported us- this includes our farmers, purveyors, everyone in our supply chain down to our diners and restaurant families near and far.
Although we can legally ask them to work thru these next few weeks we cannot in good conscience ask them to do so at this time and at the risk of everyone's health and safety. The decision to begin working again will be made as a group and as a very VERY last resort. Moreover, we are doing our best to flatten the curve by keeping as many people home for as long as possible.
We humbly ask your help in supporting our staff during these uncertain times. All of your contributions will go directly to them. It will pay for their continued health insurance coverage, steep medical bills, loss wages and the families they themselves support. Absolutely none of it will go to the restaurant's COGs, fixed costs or to us, the owners.
We miss our people and most of all welcoming our community into our home. We hope to open our doors again soon. Until then we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Be safe be well,
Peter + Sun
