Help Al's Family Cover Funeral Costs

Donation protected
Alberto (a.k.a. Al) Aguirre passed away on May 16, 2024. Although the Veterans Administration will provide the gravesite and headstone at no charge, other burial expenses, such as a casket and final preparations are the responsibility of Al's family.

Alberto was a fiercely patriotic Korean War veteran that volunteered to serve his country in a time of need. He was initially stationed in Japan, but Alberto wanted to get into the fight. When he requested a transfer to the front lines in Korea, his sergeant thought he was crazy, but after multiple requests, Alberto was granted his wish and was sent to Korea. Alberto was also actively involved his local VFW post, and was asked to participate year after year in local Fourth of July parades. He was honored to do so. He proudly donned his US Army uniform - that still fit - and walked the parade route.

Alberto loved his garden and grew some of the best avocados, oranges and peaches in town. He always offered his harvest to anyone who was hungry.

Alberto leaves behind his wife and multiple generations of family members, including great-great grandchildren. He will be truly missed.
