Help Amber Restart Her Life

Donation protected
Short story...Amber is a recovering addict and survivor of Human Trafficking and is about to complete a year of rehab and needs help with a down payment on a home, furniture and getting her life back.

Long story...My name is Michael Rose. Amber is my daughter. She is a recovering addict and is a survivor of Human Trafficking. She was held for several months, locked in a barn with only a blowup mattress to sleep on and a rain barrel to bathe out of. The people that held her would shoot her up with meth and heroin and would prostitute her out to others. People asked why she didn't just run when she had the chance. She tried to run one time and was stabbed in the thigh. The people that trafficked her had her 2 sons' information as well as our (her parents) information and was threatening her with harm to her family. At this point, they held all of the power. During this time, she was raped numerous times, she contracted Hepatitis and they kept her drugged. She was eventually found by an old bail bondsman and was saved out of the house. She went to jail where she was safe from them, and that brought in the State Bureau of Investigation and Cry Freedom Missions , which helps victims of Human Trafficking. The ones that trafficked her were eventually arrested. (https://www.ncsbi.gov/Newsroom/News-Releases/THREE-ARRESTED-IN-WAYNE-COUNTY-HUMAN-TRAFFICKING-C ). Cry Freedom was able to help Amber after she was released from jail and got her into a safe house. She is now 10 months sober and she is stronger in her faith than she has ever been. She has been taking classes to become a Peer Support Specialist. She wants to help others that have been in her situation. The situation we are in now is she is a couple months from getting out of the program. The program helps with getting her set up with a job and getting her started on her own. However, her mother and I are trying to help her with a place to live near us and her sons. She also needs a car and furniture as she has nothing. We can help with some. We have been pre-approved for a home loan, but we have to come up with 15% down and 3% closing. This would more than wipe us out. We are just trying to help her get started and not set her up for failure. Drug recovery and PTSD from trafficking is going to be a lifelong struggle. We are asking for help with getting her back on her feet. Thank you for all of the shares and help.
