Help Amin & his Family Evacuate Gaza-live in Peace

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Emile and I am creating this GoFundMe for my family in Gaza. If you have been following the atrocities being committed against the people of Gaza during the last five months, then you understand that words cannot begin to describe the horrors that they are facing.

There are many things that remain uncertain in the present moment as we hope and pray for the best, but what is certain is the dire need for support, now and in the months and years to follow as families begin to rebuild their lives.

My family along with thousands of others have dealt with displacement, separation, medical necessities, along with a lack of food, water, electricity, and the loss of so much more.

Below you will be able to read a message directly from my cousin Amin and learn a little bit about what he and his family have been enduring over the last five months. Although this fundraiser is being created for him and his immediate family (wife and two children), anything raised will be used to assist others within our extended family as well. I understand that the need is immense but I hope that you will consider supporting our family as well, truly anything will help.

Message from Amin
Before the war:

“My name is Amin Edward Amin Sabagh, and I am 43 years old. I live in the Gaza Strip with my small family consisting of my wife Catherine and two children, the eldest of whom is 15 years old and the youngest is 11 years old. Over the past five months, and since the beginning of the harsh war on Gaza, we have lost everything. Everything we own has been destroyed: our home, my car, and my small project, which is an entertainment project by the sea that I established about a year ago at a cost of $40,000. Also my wife lost her job at the Rosary Sisters School, which was also destroyed. Consequently, debts and loans accumulated, as we became unemployed and without salaries. Everything has become nonexistent. We went from being a happy family living with dignity to a miserable family living in shelters lacking the most basic human necessities, with no food or clean water, living in extreme fear under daily bombardment, exposed to the danger of death every minute. Life has become impossible for us as Palestinians in Gaza. We are now displaced in the streets with no place to shelter me and my family, only a small tent without food or drink. My children are living a miserable life, craving bread, and I can't find a way to provide for them. I suffer from severe inflammations and there are no medications or hospitals I can turn to. We want peace and to live with dignity and freedom. Help us to survive and leave Gaza and live in peace.

How Your Contributions Can Aid Our Fresh Start
We are reaching out to request your assistance in rebuilding our lives. Your donations will play a crucial role in helping us begin anew:

Our plan involves relocating and starting afresh in Australia. Departing from Gaza entails significant financial expenses, including fees for crossing into Egypt (approximately $5,500 per person, subject to fluctuation), as well as various paperwork, passport renewals, flight tickets, accommodation, and transportation costs. Upon arrival in Australia, we will need to cover essential expenses such as rent, furniture, clothing, and groceries. Your support will enable us to cover these costs, facilitate our evacuation from Gaza, and initiate the process of rebuilding our lives.
However, we acknowledge the uncertainty surrounding the situation in Gaza. If, for any reason, we are unable to evacuate—be it due to insufficient funds, travel risks, or restricted access—we will allocate the raised funds towards addressing our emergency needs here in Gaza. We are committed to making the best of our circumstances and striving to establish a stable family life despite the challenges we face and to ensure a fair and good living for our children.

Emil has initiated this fundraising campaign on our behalf, leveraging his location in Canada to access this platform. He will transfer the raised funds to us so that we can utilize them for the aforementioned purposes. It's important to note that there is a small mandatory GoFundMe fee associated with online donations (2.9% + $0.30 per donation).

We express our heartfelt gratitude for your kindness and generosity during these trying times. Amidst adversity, the support of our friends and community, including yours, provides us with the strength and resilience to rebuild our lives once more.
