Help an Amazing Woman Live Her Final Days

On 7/17/2019, our dear friend and amazing daycare provider, Karen Clark, has been given a prognosis of a few months to live due to Stage IV Adenocarcinoma lung cancer (her brother and her father passed away from this disease as well). She was originally diagnosed with BAC lung cancer (Bronchioloalveolar carcinoma) 10 years ago and the world has been blessed every single day to have her here with us. Sadly, it appears this journey is coming to an end. Even with experimental treatment, doctors say she may live up to another year. Note that this experimental treatment will likely be of no use to her. She has committed herself to being a test subject to help provide research into these treatments so that future generations of cancer patients have a better chance at survival. Background: If you would be so kind, please read on for a little background on Karen. She is a true Christian with nothing but kindness in her heart, first and foremost. She treats everyone with nothing but respect and love and has helped so many families while their children were in her care at her in home daycare. She has provided discounted or even free care for families in need and has done everything in her power to ensure that her "children" are very well taken care of. She sacrifices everything she is and has for her loved ones and even total strangers as she welcomes new families into her daycare. She is "one of the good ones" and the world will be at a loss when she is no longer with us. She is truly one of the kindest, truest and pure human beings I have ever had the opportunity to meet. Finally, Karen's mother passed away last fall and she has continued to work through the pain of losing her mother all while managing to provide nothing but the best of care to her daycare children as well as managing her illness. What will the funds be used for?: Karen continues to provide daycare however she is experiencing more and more difficulty doing so as the cancer spreads and consumes her body. She is at the point now where she will need to end caring for her beloved children and begin caring for herself. This means she will have absolutely ZERO income while undergoing experimental therapy. The funds will be used for Karen's every day expenses (including groceries & bills) but also for her to enjoy the remaining time she has with her two young adult children. It would be at her discretion as to what that enjoyment entails (for example, traveling or visiting with friends & family). Once Karen has eventually succumbed to her disease the funds will be used by her children to cover her funeral costs. After she has passed away and her funeral has been covered, the remaining money will be given to her two children to aid them in their journey without a tremendous mother and support system in their life.  How soon are the funds needed?: Karen will very soon be without any income as her daycare parents find other providers to attempt to take Karen's place. Karen is in need of the funds as soon as possible to continue to live, and hopefully if there is enough funds donated, be able to live life fully while she can. In closing: Please help us given Karen the peace of mind to know that she can live her final days without worrying about where her next meal will come from or how she will pay her bills. Please help us give Karen the life that she so deserves and help her to know that all the love she has given all of her years has been well received and now will be returned upon her tenfold.
