Help Brady Become a Catholic Counselor

I am pursuing my M.S. in Counseling through Divine Mercy University in order to become a licensed professional counselor and serve my community, particularly Catholic families in Sacramento.

Divine Mercy University, founded in 1997, has worked to integrate Catholic philosophy and theology with modern psychology. The University's scholarly work has recently culminated in the "Catholic Christian Meta-Model of the Person," published in 2020, which does just this. Having received accreditation in 2023 by the the highest accrediting body in the Counseling profession, DMU maintains its uniquely Catholic identity while exercising a growing influence in the mental health field.

Having had an interest in counseling since high school, I have recently chosen to continue my education in order to make this vision a reality. I have chosen DMU because of its Catholic identity, its faculty of distinguished scholars in their respective disciplines, and its academic rigor even through an online platform. DMU has solidified this reputation among Catholic and secular counselors through scholarship and the success of its graduates. For these reasons, I am convinced that Divine Mercy University provides the best counseling education and training of any Catholic institution. Now in my third term at DMU, I have maintained a 4.0 GPA in my coursework, which has been immensely enriching to me both mentally and spiritually.

I need your help. For the 2-and-a-half years of my program, I am working multiple part-time jobs in order to support my education and my family. While more is needed, Anna Kate and I are relying on God's providence, and our strong support system of family and friends, including you. Please help us to accomplish this work of building a new generation of authentically Catholic counseling in Sacramento.
