Help Brian Costella in His Fight Against Cancer
Donation protected
Dear Friends,
We are asking for your support for someone very dear to us, Brian Costella. Brian is not just a loving father, husband, and grandfather. He’s also a dedicated friend to so many and a passionate advocate for the game of chess. Sadly, Brian is now facing a difficult battle with cancer, and it has left him unable to work while his medical expenses continue to grow.
Brian’s love for chess has touched countless lives. He founded York Chess, a nonprofit club serving chess enthusiasts of all ages in York County, Pennsylvania. As a tournament director, he’s traveled up and down the East Coast, organizing events, mentoring players, and sharing his deep passion for the game. Teaching others to play chess has always brought him immense joy, and he has created a community centered around learning, strategy, and connection.
Now Brian needs our help. The financial burden of his treatments is heavy, and without the ability to work, it’s becoming more than his family can manage alone. We are reaching out to ask for your generosity and support during this challenging time.
Brian has always been the first to give to others — to his family, his friends, and the chess community he so dearly loves. Now it’s our turn to give back to him. Any donation, no matter the size, will help relieve the financial stress he and his family are facing and allow them to focus on what truly matters: Brian’s health and recovery.
Thank you for your kindness, compassion, and support. It means more than words can express.
Kindest regards,
Jessie and Eric
