Help Bring Daniel Home: A Mother's Plea

Family and friends, we need your help. My best friend, my ROCK, my son Daniel James Vaughan, had been missing since Sept 4, 2023. He was on his way to a rehab in Tucson, Arizona and never heard from again. After months of frantically searching, I unfortunately came across a sketch from a missing persons site, and knew immediately that it was my Deejaroni. After many calls and many tears, it was finally agreed that the body they have is that of my son. He was found badly decomposed Sept 13, 2023 in the base of the mountains just outside Tucson. An investigation continues, so I cannot disclose much more, but I can say that I have to bring my baby home, and that is going to cost me $1800. Of which I don’t have a dime. The IRS is taking their sweet time to be difficult upon releasing my tax returns this year, so I’m in a bind. I need your help. We have nowhere to even begin with planning his services because as you all know, Washington is our (his) home. I cannot imagine how much it will cost to bring him home if it’s $1800 to take him an hour and a half, then I’ll probably need $10k to take him home. He was only 27. The same age his dad was when he passed. My only saving grace is knowing the 2 of them finally have a chance to get to know one another. Ironically they’re the same age. I can’t imagine how happy he is finally being able to be with his father. As you can Imagine, my heart is shattered. I came to Arizona to put my family back together and get my oldest son. Instead, I lost them all except one. Please find it in your hearts to help us bring my baby home for the last time and put his body to rest. One last goodbye for my partner in crime, my right hand man, my reason and purpose, my twin, my Deejarooni. He was a man of many talents but his greatest ability was to love and laugh. I feel his spirit with me and I know he would want you all to play your favorite song, tell a funny joke, and take your favorite person out for sushi in his memory. I don’t really know what to say, as this still has me in so much shock I can’t eat or sleep or even breathe. I’m sorry I’ve not called anyone - I can’t even go 3 min Wout breaking down and losing it.
