Hi, my name is Courtney Phillips, and I've been self-publishing my writing for six years now. I've been writing since I was about five and I wrote a little book about witches. I crafted it on blue paper with lots of sticky-tape. I still have it to this day.
I love writing because it allows me to express emotions that I used to be afraid to acknowledge, especially in terms of my mental health. Writing helps me by allowing me to be creative, explore my imagination, and grants me a home away from home. I write to give myself a voice.
I saw increasing negativity in the world that I wanted to try and fight. Now, I write for everyone who might be feeling alone, everyone who might be beginning a mental illness journey and doesn't know what they're feeling or what's happening in their mind, everyone who's been struggling for a long time and need a reminder on those harder days.
Such as the ones that will be featured in the book I'm hoping to work on, because they're the things I need to hear, that we need to hear, and because
I HAVE JUST BEEN OFFERED A PUBLISHING CONTRACT WITH ELIEZER TRISTAN PUBLISHING! The contract is for a self-help book, featuring gentle reminders and affirmations, and focusing on helping those who might need a friend when their mental illness is reaching a low. This is a very personal project for me because I have been learning about and living with mental illness for the past seven years.
It's an exciting opportunity and is honestly a dream come true.
Publishing with Eliezer Tristan comes with a fee of $500 (USD) to help pay for the designers, formatting, and distribution. I am asking for support in raising this money because I believe that there is power in a community, and this book can help the community.
All funds raised will go directly to the publishing process.
I appreciate your support so much. As I said, this is a dream come true, and you helping me make this dream a reality means the world to me. You will be a part of a book that is going to reach and help so many people.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me.
