HELP COZY AND FAMILY- STAGE 4 BRAIN CANCER

On February 17, Cozette Whalen was diagnosed with a Stage 4 Glioblastoma, the most aggressive form of brain cancer. She immediately underwent 2 weeks of radiation and skilled care for strengthening. While waiting to start chemo therapy, her symptoms continued to progress. A brain scan was done to rule out a stroke and it was then confirmed her tumor had progressed and caused shifting. She was sent home with some amazing nurses and case managers from Cedar Valley Hospice and her family to care for her as she wished. She has been able to visit with many friends and family over the last few weeks with some tears, but a lot of smiles and laughter! As her time on earth comes close to an end, it’s not a “Goodbye” but “See You Later”. Her family has had to start thinking about the realization of funeral costs as she has no savings for this. It was Cozette’s desire to be cremated. After conversations with the Cremation Society, they know it should cost right under $2000, however will have to have this paid prior to their services. Cozy is such a kind hearted person that has always made sure others where taken care of. She has lived many places and traveled all over. She has made so many friends and always has stories from all over the United States! We are reaching out to all of you to help take this burden off the family.
