Help ease Tholow’s transition

Tholow Chan: the man, the myth, the legend. 

It breaks my heart to write this.   Our father has been diagnosed with one of the rarest (one in a million) and most aggressive forms of dementia. Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (CJD).  This diagnosis is not only rare, but fatal. 

Dad has been in the hospital for nearing three weeks under the neurologists’ care.  This devastating diagnosis took time to get confirmed due to how rare it is.   We are nearing the end of this journey as dad is no longer able to see, speak, or move deliberately.  He can hear us.  We’ve been assured by many medical professionals that hearing is the last to go  

We are unsure of the cost we will be facing once dad has made his trip to the other side.  

We want to thank you for your overwhelming love and support throughout his life as well as ours. For as much as he loved others, he was loved back.   The joy we can take away from this is: that mom and dad will finally be reunited in heaven.
