Sadly, Unexpectedly we have lost an amazing soul to a tragedy on July 24 2021, Mayiel Kirr, 20 years old of Chestermere. Mayiel left the home friday evening with his friends and sadly never returned home. Police are working to find what has happened and are looking for possible suspects.

Mayiel moved to Brooks in 2002 with his family as a refugee, from South Sudan. His family came to Canada to provide him and his siblings a better life, Mayiel moved to Chestermere in 2006 where he attended St Gabriel The Arch Angel and Graduated in 2019. Mayiel was the oldest Brother to five younger siblings. Jearre 17, Nyakiir 15, Rebecka 13, Isiac 7, Jasmine 1.

Mayiel light up the room with his infectious smile and contagious laugh, Mayiel is loved by many and is not the type of person to have enemies. This is a complete shock to the Community, Family and Friends. Mayiel will be missed by many.
