Help Fulfill My Abuelita's Wish

UPDATE: Today, May 22, 2024, my beautiful abuelita has passed away. She was with family, loved and cared for and as peaceful as she could be. Thank you for any well wishes and prayers, I know she would've appreciated them all.

Hello, thank you for reading.

My abuelita was diagnosed with brain cancer back in January of this year (2024) and her health has sadly declined. As of today (5/20/24), she has been made as comfortable as possible for the inevitable.

As it stands, she is unable to communicate her wishes for after she passes. However, one thing that my mother (her daughter) and I (her grandchild) know for sure is that she always loved live mariachi. She wanted one for her birthday many times, and was delighted when we shared her enthusiasm. She instilled her love for our culture in us, and we are incredibly blessed to have had her with us for so long.

Unfortunately for my family, life has been very difficult and we are unable to afford a lot. I would not be here if I didn't have to. I just want to fulfill my abuelita's one request. I need her to have at least something she loves so much at the very end. I want to show her that we listened, and thank her for the sacrifices she made in her youth to grow our family to what it is today.

These donations will go directly to hiring the band and their transportation. I do not know how much it will be in the end, but this will cover a good portion of it. I will do anything I can to cover the cost in the end, selling and working whatever I have to. I just need help, and humbly ask that you consider.
