Help Haley Build a Sanctuary for Senior and Feral Cats

If you've been following me for any amount of time, you probably know that I have a 2 year goal of moving back to the Midwest (where I'm from) and starting a cat sanctuary for seniors, ferals, and other "unwanteds" in the cat world. Well, this is the first step in making that happen! This gofundme is here to cover the cost of the building (basically a very large pole barn with all the necessary bells and whistles) that will be used to start my sanctuary. I've gotten some quotes from Midwest-based builders of these types of facilities, and 30K will be just enough to get us started and begin our journey to providing a place for kitties in need. Even though our sanctuary is still a few years away, I want to start now so that I am ready to hit the ground running as soon as I can!

If you have no idea who I am and you've just stumbled upon this somehow, then hello! My name is Haley! I'm a 28 year old ex-teacher turned animal welfare extraordinaire and I run a 501c3 nonprofit called Tiny Tim's Tiny Foster Family. I was a full time high school teacher for about 3 years before realizing that I had to choose between my two passions of teaching and animal welfare. As you can see, the choice was made, and I'm here, trying my best to make a difference and create something that will last far beyond my own lifetime. I started my animal welfare journey right out of high school around 2014 when I began working at my local rural shelter in Illinois. From there, I began fostering and I have since raised over 250 kittens and cats in my own home, working with various organizations all across the USA (and even some as far as Japan), trying my best to do good as needed for animals who need our help. I've fundraised for lifesaving technology like incubators and oxygen machines, I've ran charity art shows and auctions with over 15,000 dollars being donated to non-profit animal welfare organizations, and I've truly devoted my life to this cause. So many people have been exceptionally supportive on my journey, and this gofundme is the first step to making this dream a reality. I have the skills, I have the functional non-profit, and I have the gumption, all I need is support from other animal lovers!
