Help healing from covid

Some of you may have already heard what happened to billy, others may be hearing this for the first time.
So many have been affected by covid & our family, like so many others, have had our fair share.
On nov 11 billy & gloria both tested positive for covid. They were told to have had it for about two weeks. Unknowingly they were both still working everyday.
On Nov 15 as gloria got ready for bed, she noticed billy was sitting on the couch. Eyes glazed over, rolled up in his head. She called the ambulance & thats where this story begins...
Billy was admitted to the ICU & incubated. He was put on oxygen & ventilator along with feeding tubes & catheter. They put him in a medically induced coma.
Skip ahead a month to Dec 15. The doctors started discussing taking him off life support. The priest came in to see him twice.
Gloria met with the family to discuss something no family wants to go through. Nobody wanted to see him continue to suffer any longer.
On the day gloria went to say her goodbyes, the nurses met with her & said they noticed somethings & told her lets just wait another 12-24 hrs & see what happens.
An absolute miracle happened when he pulled through & woke up!
He got a tracheotomy, still has the feeding tube & is still on oxygen. He was moved from the ICU to the cardiac unit.
He is currently in this unit. They are attempting to lower his oxygen, get him to eat on his own, use the bathroom, walk, ect.
This is going to be a very long process.
After he will be transferred to a rehab.
Now the challenge with that is alot are not taking on new patients due to covid, & finding one insurance will approve. (We all know how insurance companies can be). .
The doctors told him do not expect to be the billy you're used to being for a long time. They told him to not expect to even be able to work again for at least one year.
Another hurdle is the depression covid had brought on. Some may have heard of this, along with "covid dreams" & vivid thoughts. He is experiencing all of these things & its been very hard to cope with.
We are all very thankful that he pulled through & is still here with us living life, but it will be a long time till he sees, or feels normal again.
We are asking for any kind of help to get them through these times. Last thing he needs is the added stress of bills coming in. He will not be able to work for a long time, and right now he just needs to heal & get himself better. Any amount will help.
From our family to yours, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
