Help Honor Allison's Life and Legacy

Funeral/Celebration of life for our dear friend, Allison Cameron

Dear Friends and Family,

I am deeply pained to be writing to you today to let you know about the loss of our dear friend, sorority sister and life partner, Allison. Tragically, Allison passed away in her sleep from unknown causes on Monday, June 17th.

We will be hosting a celebration of life at a location yet to be determined in the San Fernando Valley (Los Angeles), which will be held on a date and time TBD in the next few weeks (more info to come regarding the celebration of life when the location, date and time have been finalized).

To say that there are a significant amount of people who are absolutely devastated by Allison’s passing is a massive understatement, and we are starting this GoFundMe to help her amazing and loving boyfriend Jamie (my fraternity brother who I have known for 25+ years) accrue some funds from our community to help him offset the costs of her cremation and end of life costs. Based upon researching several options for cremation (Allison’s preference), we have been able to determine that our goal is to raise $3,000 to help Jamie bring Allison to her final resting place, and to be able to honor her, her legacy and his deep and eternal love for Allison. That $3,000 covers all expenses related to her impending cremation, and all of the documentation and permits that are required, in addition to a beautiful urn for her ashes to rest in, in eternal peace.

ADDED 6/20: THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH FOR YOUR DONATIONS SO FAR. WE REACHED OUR INITIAL GOAL OF RAISING $3,000 IN 15 HOURS WHICH IS AMAZING. I HAVE NOW BUMPED THE GOAL UP TO $5,000 SO THAT THERE CAN BE SOME FUNDS TO OFFSET THE COST OF THE TBD CELEBRATION OF LIFE THAT WE WILL BE HOLDING TO CELEBRATE ALLISON AND HER GREATNESS.
