Help Honor James Fish's Memory

Donation protected
On September 11th, 2023, James Fish was at home with his wife and daughter when suddenly he started experiencing a heating and cooling sensation throughout his body. He expressed to his wife Tammy that he was having issues breathing and needed oxygen.

He has never expressed this need to her before.

She immediately called 911 and the ambulance rushed over. From there they called in a medical airlift to get him help as quickly as possible.

On the way to the airlift, he entered cardiac arrest. The medical officials were able to get his heart online again, but throughout the process, they had to break 4 of his ribs.

When he arrived at the hospital, his family was eagerly waiting for him. They waited for what felt like an eternity.

The medical officials were doing everything they could to help James and needed the space to do so.

When his family was allowed to finally see him again, they entered a room to find James hooked up to a ventilator, motionless, staring at the ceiling. Not able to blink. Not able to move. Completely frozen.

By all means, this is not how his family wished to find him.

He stayed in ICU for two days. During that time, his lung collapsed and they had to cut a hole in his side to address the issue.

The medical officials told his family that his body kept trying to go into seizures and if he did return he would unfortunately remain in a vegetable state for the rest of his life.

Although the situation was so sudden for him and his family, it nonetheless was incredibly severe.

At that point in time, Tammy and his daughter Brittany made the very challenging decision to take him off of the machines to let him peacefully transition. They knew James wouldn't want to live in such a way.

James passed September 13, 2023.

This left his family completely heartbroken and now having to deal with many financial challenges as James was the primary provider in his family.

His family is working to raise money to pay for his gravestone to honor the life of this great man and to further assist his family throughout this challenging time.

If you are able to donate or help by spreading this story to those around you who might be able to assist, we would be extremely grateful.

He was a great man and loved his family dearly. He was a protector and provider and gave everything he had to offer to both them and the world around him.

He was a well attuned outdoorsman. Always outside hunting or fishing. His relationship with the Natural World was one that was truly remarkable. In fact, the deer in his area would oftentimes come out of the forest when they heard him whistle to greet him as he would regularly feed them and spend time with them.

He was an honorable man worthy of an honorable memorial service. If you feel called to do so, please help us assist this family.

Thank you for your time and consideration.
