Help Honor Mel's Memory and Legacy
Donation protected
Melvin Montero Jimenez-Murzin was a proud father, son, husband, grandfather, brother, cousin, nephew, and friend. Those who knew him can recall his smile in a moment, or the way his shoulders slumped forward when he laughed too hard (which he did often).
The legacy he leaves behind include his daughters Gabriella, Kim, Emily, and his grandson Caden.
He was the sole provider for his family and a reliable, loving, and kind man known well by his community, family, and friends. Mel worked as a professional painter, entrepreneur, and full-time Dad for most of his adult life. He worked tirelessly to support his family and friends, and was a person that would give you the shirt off his back (but if you couldn't take a joke, he might've given you a hard time about it).
The tragic and sudden murder of Mel leaves those who loved him at an indescribable loss. Even as I write this as his eldest daughter, Kim, I find myself missing the words to describe the impact he has had on so many lives-- his death has shattered many. I love and miss you Dad, and while I struggle to glue the pieces back together, I know you're watching down on all of us and telling us to keep rebuilding.
Funds from this GoFundMe will be utilized in the direct cremation of Mel, a Non-Viewing Memorial Service, and any other miscellaneous expenses in relation to the recovery from his untimely death.
Mel's Memorial is currently planned for the 29th of June from 11am-1pm per our conversation with the funeral director [please see updates on this page]. Mel's wish was to be cremated and have his ashes spread across the Gulf of Mexico because of his love of Florida, his home at the time of his death and for many years.
Please share this fundraiser among family and friends and share your favorite memories of Mel or any photos you have of him with the family; we could use the support at this difficult time.
Goal was auto-suggested by GoFundMe, anything at all helps.
