Help us pick up my fathers ashes so we can lay him to rest.

Hi I’m Megan.. one of the daughters of Rick McGowan.. also known as “uncle Rick”. Yesterday My sister and I Rebecca Lynn Bell lost our father. Unfortunately we need to come up with the money for his cremation now. We are doing this the cheapest way possible and still honoring his wishes. He wanted to be cremated and have most of those ashes spread along peaks island in Maine. We were not able to get any assistance but the funeral home is willing to hold my dad’s ashes for 30 days. I just want this man who’s been through so much in his life to finally be able to be at peace and rest. Any help at all is appreciated so so much. Also want to say thank you to my cousins Billy and holly for helping him this entire time. He loved you both very much. We were definitely not expecting this. While we didn’t have the easiest life growing up.. neither did he. This man went through so much as a child and fought many demons throughout his life. He was finally able to get sober the last few years.. and still be the funny annoying man he always was. He would randomly send me messages, or comment on pictures.. we were able to have a little contact again because of his sobriety. He got to see pictures of his grandkids and the last thing we talked about was how happy he was that his grandson was playing football.. (a sport my dad loved) I remember him playing fantasy football online growing up .. we may not have always got along as I didn’t understand why he did the things he did.. but now that I look back.. that’s how he coped with things.. I have shitty coping skills too.. who am i to judge. If only I would have realized this sooner. My father was “uncle Rick” to everyone around.. the funny guy who wouldn’t shut up.. the life of the party.. the guy you had to say goodbye to 100x to finally get off the phone.. he leaves behind his older daughter..becky and the baby me. His other daughter Tina had passed away not long ago.. he also leaves behind a lot of nieces and nephews that love and will miss him so much. While I never under stood his relationships.. I know that he loved my mother he always told me that.. they went through so much together.. but he also had another love Marsha… who also passed away.. and his dog tank who he loved very much. I am happy he is no longer suffering and can now fully be at peace.
