Help Honor Sovanny Chhim's Memory

To our family and friends,

Our beloved mother, Sovanny Chhim, was diagnosed with multiple myeloma cancer late last year of October 2023. By the time she was diagnosed, the cancer had begun to spread. My mother was determined to fight and live longer through exhausting chemotherapy and radiation treatments while spending weeks at a time staying in the hospital.

Unfortunately, as of Sunday, June 16th, our mother was admitted into the ICU while staying at UW Medicine hospital for chemotherapy treatment. We received the unfortunate news that our mother's body no longer had the strength to fight all her illnesses.

Our dear mother is leaving behind her six children: Kevin, Kera, Sovanna, David, Stephany, and Christina, and five grandchildren: Savina, Sonida, Milah, Liam, and Jayden, and her long life partner Sarom Chin. She was well known for her kindness to others, cooking authentic Cambodian food not only for her loved ones but her friends and neighbors, and her generosity towards others during times of struggle. She loved spending time with her kids and being with her grandkids made her feel alive.

As much as we wish we could figure out the funeral expenses alone, we find ourselves humbly asking our family and friends to help provide our mother the memorial service she deserves. Costs will go towards funeral and cremation services. Any amount donated will be received with gratitude as we are thankful for any help that will be given to us at this time. We will also appreciate anyone who can help by sharing this link.

We thank you all as a family from the bottom of our hearts that will help us say farewell to our beloved mother.
