Please help donate for Funeral costs for Thomas Lyerla
To say that the past five years have been trying, would be an absolute understatement. The Lyerla family has dealt with more struggles and triumphs in that time, than ever before.
It breaks my heart to inform everyone, that Tom is reaching the last few days of his life. There was an unexpected decline in his health, and he was admitted into the hospital for end of life care. He was able to return home yesterday, to pass in peace in the comfort of his home. He will be surrounded by those he holds dearly. Tom was staying hopeful, and planned to start his most severe level of radiation in just a few days. With this unexpected decline, it saves him from the immense amount of pain that radiation would cause. It’s very hard as a family to accept this, but this is part of his journey. We don’t want him to hurt any longer. His body can’t take anymore.
So as a family we are following medical advice, and letting him go in peace.
Throughout his life Tom helped so many people. He was the anchor in his family, and touched the lives of many others. His wishes after he passed were to have a proper funeral, and was in fear of having to be cremated due to financial struggles. In hopes to preserve his wishes, we are struggling with the ability to come up with necessary funeral costs to do that. The ceremony is something not only important to him, but also the people that he will leave behind. He leaves behind several who loved him.
He leaves behind a courageous daughter, that has been working tirelessly to carry the financial weight since his initial diagnosis. She has worked multiple jobs, and cared for her kids during this very precarious time in their lives. Finances are exhausted from medical bills, and we are asking for help. I know that times are tough for all of us, but if you’re able to help, we would be ever so grateful.
We are so thankful for anyone taking the time to read this, donate, or share. This go fund me will allow us to honor his wishes, as we grieve the loss of the rock of our family.
Please share on Facebook, donate, and continue to love those closest to you. We as a family are just grateful that we had him for as long as we did.
