Help Jhan and Her Family Rebuild Their Live

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Jhan, a mother to four. Our journey has been one of resilience, hope, and determination.

Please read our story:

Background:
In November 2023, after having survived already a month into this war and continued attempts to seek safety, we evacuated from the north of Gaza, desperate to reunite with our loved ones. The Rafah border was our lifeline, but bureaucracy delayed our departure.
We faced life-threatening moments - navigating dangerous roads, surviving a car accident on our way to Rafah, and ended up enduring injuries. My own eye injury from the accident serves as a painful reminder of our struggle.
Our beloved home got damaged by tank bombings, hitting the upper floors, while other family members are still housed in it. Our family business - a gym in which I poured all my money and effort in for 10 years, also got damaged, and we lost our car.

Our Family
1. Adam: An 11th grader, Adam completed reciting/memorization of the Quran—a milestone that should have been celebrated in October. But war disrupted our plans, and all of the mosques we cherished were bombed.
2. Farah: A brilliant student, Farah excelled in high school. She registered to study marketing and embarked on her university journey. By October 7, it was her first week—a mix of excitement and uncertainty.
3. Rozana: A 23 year old Physiotherapist -Entrepreneur with a path of many achievements and rewards on behalf of her project “REHOPE” & raised her to the sake of always loving to help people as she is a volunteer in PRCS
4. Anas : A 24 year old who runs our family business

The US Embassy's Silence:
Despite being American citizens, the US Embassy provided no assistance. We took responsibility for our safety, evacuating without their support. For two days, we were guests at a hotel near the Rafah Egyptian border. But beyond that, no lifelines were extended.

Our Uncertain Fate:
Now in Egypt, we stand at a crossroads. Will we return to our beloved Gaza, where life hangs by a thread? Or will we leave to the US, seeking any potential to rebuild and reshape life?

How You Can Help:
As a mother, the physical and mental health situation for myself and my children is paramount. Our journey, losses of possibilities to provide for our family and hardships has deeply affected us. Yet, we have hope and will continue to find ways to rebuild and reshape our lives. To achieve this, your support matters!!!

Every donation brings us closer to rebuilding and reshaping our lives and future and for:
  • Securing medical care
  • potential care for additional family members that are still stuck in Gaza for when they come out
  • for having any kind of security in the midst of uncertainty
  • to replace important belongings that we lost
  • eventual flights

Share our story, spread the word, and be part of our journey. Together, we can turn adversity into resilience.

Note: This fundraiser is managed by a friend on our behalf since it is not possible for us to register with a Palestinian bank account from Cairo.
I will post updates and videos on:
