On July 1st, our family gathered eagerly for a joyous occasion, waiting to celebrate a summer BBQ together. However, our excitement turned into panic when Juan Pablo failed to arrive. Frantic efforts led us to discover him in a hospital, where he was diagnosed with a severe brain bleed resulting from a hit-and-run incident involving his motorcycle. The callousness of the driver who fled the scene only added to our anguish.

As you can imagine, the road to recovery for Juan Pablo will be long and arduous. He has undergone emergency brain surgery, but that is just the beginning.
