Let's Come Together to Show Kade Our Support!

Hi! My name is Alex Baer. I am fundraising for my pal, comrade, mi amigo, friend Kade Ryman. I have known Kade for a couple of years now. I met him when he began seeking help for his substance abuse issues, which he has successfully remained abstinent and is in recovery now! Watching him grow from a scared little boy, acting like the class clown to taking control over his life and setting goals to obtain his dreams has been surreal.

Kade is a survivor of rare heart cancer, sarcoma. After lots of treatments and surgery, he went into remission about 4 years ago. When he got sober he realized how precious life really was and began living his life to the fullest. He would always call and ask me for help when he needed it, and I would always gladly help him! He expressed the same passion and drive that I have for hosting events and gatherings and bringing people together to have fun. I have watched him bring the community together to enjoy some laughs and quality time over camping, rollerskating, crawfish boils, and hiking/swimming extravaganzas. He values family and a sense of community. The point is, this guy had a second chance at life and is making the most of it in a healthy way and impacting his community while doing it. He has touched my heart with his sincerity, lame jokes, and positive attitude!

On his birthday, September 13th, 2021, Kade went to the trampoline park with some of his friends to celebrate the day of his birth. He fell and ended up hitting his head, which caused him to blackout and forget things. He was taken to the hospital where they did some brain scans on him and discovered two tumors in his brain. After speaking with him, the doctors wanted to do a biopsy. The locations of the tumors are difficult and they are unable to perform the biopsy at this time and are discussing some treatment options.

I would first like to acknowledge how brave this young man is, he is a warrior and I have watched him fight for his life before. The uncertainty of this situation is scary and would be for anyone, Kade is able to smile and continue to make jokes! Due to the ambiguity of the situation, Kade will not be able to secure a job at this time or continue to pursue the career path he was set out to embark on recently.

We are collectively asking the community for help to cover his medical bills and living expenses. If this guy has ever touched your life in any way, please consider making a donation! I can promise you that he will not buy a hat or something. What I can promise is that the majority of this money will go towards paying his medical expenses, and help sustain him while he is undergoing his chemo, radiation, and any other procedure that he may need to be done.
