Help Kennedy Fight Breast Cancer

In April of 2021, Kennedy became concerned by the appearance of a lump in her right breast. In the midst of completing her final exams, she remained focused on her studies until June, when she noticed the lump had almost quadrupled in size making her right breast significantly bigger than the left. At that point, she underwent an ultrasound and the doctors were instantly alarmed by the size of the mass being comparable to a baseball. Following the doctor’s recommendations, she removed the mass on June 29th to have a biopsy performed as this was extremely unusual for someone of her age at just 25 years old.

On July 13th, it was reported that Kennedy’s mass was in fact cancerous and that she would need to commence treatment as soon as possible to prevent further spread. Given her family history of aggressive breast cancer, which has taken the life of her three aunts and her grandmother; this makes it imperative that she receives urgent care. In addition to this, Kennedy’s primary caregiver, her single mother, has been unemployed for over a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Kennedy has been on full scholarship and working towards obtaining her Master’s Degree in Architecture; therefore, she does not have health insurance at this time. We, the friends of Kennedy are leaning on the support of the public to assist in funding her cancer treatment and related medical expenses.
