Help Kevin's Children Honor Their Father
Donation protected
On June 24, 2024... my children experienced the biggest tragedy of their lives. Their father passed away rather unexpectedly. At 42 years old, they never expected to find their father sitting in his car deceased from congestive heart failure.
Kevin File from Cottage Hills, IL was many things: an enthusiast in motorcycles, guns, and technology gadgets; a hard worker, a friend, and a spouse 2x. However, the thing he most wanted to be remembered for was his love and devotion to his 3 boys and his 4 grandsons. He spent his days teaching our boys the do's and don'ts of life. Harping at them when he felt they could do better, but always being proud of them for making their own path. Kevin didn't like to travel very much, and seldom took vacations. He wanted to spend his life simplistically and enjoy the little moments as they came. For that reason, we have many wonderful memories of birthday parties, holidays, playing bubbles, playing at the park, food fights, playing catch, watching movies, and many many more memories we will all hold onto for eternity.
We all believe we have plenty of time to get things in order for death at an older age. Kevin believed he had more time as well. Unfortunately, Monday he was left with no more time and departed our world with no life insurance or savings.
Although we divorced several years ago, we continued a close friendship for we have 3 boys together... 24 years, 21 years, and 13 years old; as well as 4 grandsons...6 years, 4 years, 2 years, & 8 weeks old. Kevin's dad is also a recent widow and is on a fixed income. Our ability to provide Kevin a funeral he deserves is just out of our capabilities.
We are asking for your love, compassion, and assistance to help our boys provide their father a proper funeral.
100% of the donations will go towards the funeral expenses, and should there be anything remaining, will go towards his boys & grandkids.
We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your love and support during this time.
