Help Kyle Walker

Update:
Kyle is improving each day & being released from the brain rehab facility & will head home. He will continue outpatient therapy for another 6 weeks. He is playing cards & talking with friends again. He is starting to walk, but still needs assistance for now until he is more stable. The therapists said they are impressed with his progress . He will use a wheelchair as needed until his legs are stronger, but he is working hard- walking in the halls & working in the gym on weekends during his free time to get back to where he was. It typ takes 1-2 years for the brain to heal from traumatic brain injuries according to doctors. We are hopeful he will have a full recovery since he is young, strong & determined. No school for now. but hoping he will return to complete his engineering degree in the next year or so. The police are still investigating, but since it happened in the off campus area it makes it tougher .

The Walker family would like to thank all of our family, friends & OSU family for all of their love, support & prayers❤️. It has meant the world to them & to Kyle. The first week is a blur now & maybe it’s better that way. Kyle has had angels watching over him from the night he was found. God is good- bless all of you from the bottom of our hearts!❤️

I am fundraising for Kyle Walker‘s medical bills. Kyle is a Sycamore graduate and was a rising senior at OSU studying electrical engineering. He was found late last Saturday night near OSU‘s campus unconscious with head injuries. He has suffered two major skull fractures, had bleeding throughout his brain, and was on a breathing tube in ICU most of the week. Kyle was transferred a few days ago via ambulance to a brain trauma rehabilitation hospital in Cincinnati to be closer to his family. Kyle is making progress but still has a long road to recovery. Kyle is young and strong and showing a great fight. His family asked for your prayers of healing and patience as they navigate through this difficult time. Several people have asked where they can donate - they appreciate everyone’s support & prayers for Kyle’s recovery. thank you! God bless.
