Help Lucky Post Surgery, Time Without Work

Hi everyone I’m fundraising for the time I will need to takeoff work due to a series of medical events I will be off work to heal from trigger’s thumb release surgery.
This all began when I hurt my wrist at work which was diagnosed as de quervain's tenosynovitis and I was ordered to be put into a splint for 6 weeks and my thumb was restrained from movement to keep things in place while the tendon healed.
When I was able to remove the splint I discovered I had lost full flexibility in wrist, as well as my hand, and my thumb has now been stuck in one position. At no time did the doctor give further instruction of physical therapy I should seek out or exercises I should have been doing with my hand to keep for flexibility after removing the splint. Only after I prompted him about the severe pain in my hand did he suggest physical therapy. The first physical therapy appointment was not available until a full month later, prolonging the healing process. I later went to urgent care because of pain and this was the first time anyone recommended taking x-rays of my hand. They thought they had discovered a fractured thumb so my physical therapy appointment was moved up to the following week. When I finally saw the hand specialist doctor he Ordered closer x-rays of my thumb after looking at my hand. He Found no fractures only a small bone spur (over-use of hands). The doctor proceeded to put lidocaine into my thumb to see if he could release and push it back into place. After being unable to move it beyond one position he recommended we do surgery as soon as possible.
While my wrist was covered by Workmen’s Comp. the thumb surgery is considered not to be part of the same injury. While I do have Badger Care Health coverage I no longer have missing work coverage from Workman’s Comp. As it stands it is my right dominant hand that needs the surgery on the thumb and since this all began my left hand has become my dominant hand. The only issue with my left hand currently is that it is beginning to feel a lot like the pain I had in my right hand when I initially went in for my first doctors visit at the end of February. My goal is to take off as much time of work as recommended to heal from both the trigger thumb surgery and keep myself from having the de quervain's tenosynovitis happen again. I need time to rest and time to heal, and yet I need to work and make money, so I’m in a very difficult position and need help. This means I could be out of work for six weeks, I want to go back in two weeks, but I don’t even know if that is a good idea since I use my hands for my job. This money will go to paying my bills and covering the missed wages of up to six weeks of work. Thank you for sharing this and thank you if you were able to help this is a really hard time for me and I appreciate it.
