Help Makayla Morrow's Family Through This Difficult Time

On October 8th, 2024 our family lost a daughter, a mother, a sister and a friend. Makayla Lynn Morrow (26) passed away leaving behind two children, a daughter (8) and a son (6). She is survived by her two children, her mother (Misty DeBord), her father (Billy Morrow), her twin sister (Kasandra Morrow), and her brothers (Kyle Morrow and Caleb Fisher). Makayla was a vibrant, loving, caring and outgoing person. Makayla was born on August 20th, 1998 in Mineral Wells TX until her family moved to Rapid City, SD and settled down in 2006. She loved to draw and spend time with her family and friends. She worked in childcare from age 18 until her passing. She aspired to be a tattoo artist because of her love for drawing. She did the best that she could to help her kids achieve their dreams. Her oldest is aspiring to be a model. Her youngest is just beginning his schooling career and he is still learning about his interests.

Makayla's memory and legacy will be carried on through her family and her children. Her children are going to be remaining with the family they have created long lasting bonds with. We have created this GoFundMe to ask for help from the community in these difficult times to help the children get adjusted to the new life they were not expecting to have.

We are asking for help with funds to cover funeral expenses, legal expenses, and future expenses for the children. Any help is appreciated and will go towards the children and the families to begin the process of settling in to our new normal. The family appreciates any strength, thoughts and prayers to be sent our way as we work through this traumatic, unexpected loss.
