Help Mary with Brenneth's Final Expenses

My name is Mary Giles.

My brother, Brenneth Johnson, Jr., of Meridian, MS, was found dead in bed at a friend's house this morning, presumably of a stroke. He was staying there because he had become disabled in recent years from strokes and diabetes. He was 47.

My brother left no provisions for his final expenses and he has no assets. I am also very sick, wheelchair-bound and disabled. I do not have the means to pay for the disposal of my brother's remains. I am trying to raise $1,400 for his cremation. The crematory requires the money upfront before they will even pick him up. The coroner has released his body to a funeral home that charges $50 for every day his body is there.

When my cousin, Lula, died in April my brother told me he would be next. I didn't believe him. How could I? I could not fathom this. I still cannot.

How could I lose two people I've spent decades with so quickly? They both suffered so much. My cousin cried wept all the time like a little child. My brother's legs wasted away to skin and bones from diabetes, but he was more stoic, so I did not know he was as sick as he was. I live 1,000 miles away and didn't have the means to visit either of them.
