Help me & little family survive war

Donation protected
Hello,
I hope my message reaches you well. My name is Ruweida Sawali, a 27-year-old Palestinian from Gaza City. My family consists of my parents, my sister Bara’a, my older brother Ahmed, and my younger brother Mahmoud. I am reaching out to you with a heavy heart, seeking your help as we navigate through these difficult times.

The ongoing war has severely impacted us. We were forced to leave our home in the middle of the night, enduring one of the most terrifying experiences of our lives. The cold, dark nights added to our fear. We sought safety elsewhere, but even the southern areas of Gaza, which are claimed to be safe zones, offered no refuge.

Our home was destroyed at the start of the war, leaving us homeless with only memories of the past. My father's job, which was our lifeline, was destroyed, leaving us without any income. My father, heartbroken, bid farewell to his job. This marked a painful collapse of our spirits and dreams. We left our home in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood of Gaza, carrying what little hope remained, and moved to Khan Younis. There, we found ourselves in an unfamiliar place, surrounded by uncertainty, at a relative’s home in Al-Mawasi. This place soon became crowded with displaced families searching for safety amidst the ruins. It was difficult to comprehend the tragic conditions. Every day was a struggle to obtain basic necessities like water, food, and medicine. My father couldn’t get his medication due to closed pharmacies, and my younger brother Mahmoud frequently suffers from severe colds and coughs in our temporary tent. The situation worsened when my father lost his income and everything became very expensive. Our home, once warm, is now in ruins, a reminder of the violence and destruction we endured. Due to the high prices, my father had to return to Gaza to find a means to feed us. He waited in line at aid distribution points to get a bag of flour that could cost him his life. Since that cursed day, we have lost contact with him. We don’t know if he was arrested or if he died trying to feed us.

As the eldest daughter, I feel a heavy burden to stand by my family and support them, especially after losing my father. I feel extremely weak and unable to bear the loss of any other family member. At 24, I feel powerless to change this painful reality. I don’t have the energy to face all this alone, so I am trying my best to help my family escape the dangers of this war and leave Gaza. My goal is to move them to a safer place. We need $5000 for each adult and $2500 for each child to cross the border. I don’t understand why we are treated like a dangerous virus. Your support would mean the world to us, allowing us to start a new life in Egypt. Your support is not just financial aid; it’s a beacon of hope for our sorrowful hearts. We are suffering in silence, and your support means extending a helping hand in moments of weakness.

I am Ruweida Sawali, and my words are a small gateway to open your compassionate hearts. Help me protect my family from the storms of life and continue searching for a safe haven. Don’t just be witnesses; be part of our story and stand with us with kindness and mercy.

Thank you with deep gratitude and respect. Your donation, no matter how small, can make a big difference.
