Help mom get healthy from severe stroke

Hello everyone, this is a GoFundMe for my mom, Yen Phommaxay. She is a loving grandma, a mother, a friend, and a member of our community. On January 9, she had an ischemic stroke, and has lost control of the entire left side of her body. She’s had many health complications including heart problems, and this was a terrible and scary experience for my family and I.

My mom is the kind of person who loves to cook for and feed other people, and if you were to approach her with any problem, she would be the first to try and help. If you’ve ever been over to our house, you have probably tried her delicious egg rolls or fried rice. She is the best cook! Even though she has been through such trauma, she still continues to talk about making food for us that we can all enjoy, despite her current condition.

My family and I are educating ourselves on how to adapt and care for my mom, and it is a tough road ahead that we face together. She requires occupational and physical therapy, and we also need to make many adjustments to our house to make it more accessible for her handicap - both of which can be quite costly.

On behalf of my mom, we are very touched by your prayers and continued support. We humbly request any monetary assistance to help my mother in this time of need.
