Help Monty Beat Fading Kitten Syndrome
Donation protected
Hi everyone, my name is Nate and I am raising money for our kitten, Monty. We brought Monty home on October 9th, thinking he was 7 weeks old. We soon found out he was only 5 weeks old when we brought him home. Monty was very active and playful kitten for the first few weeks we've had him. However, Monty has not been getting bigger and is actually losing weight. Once he hit the 8 week mark, he has become very lethargic and has not been eating his usual amount. Monty has had one emergency vet visit and two other visits in the last 3 days. On 10/29/23, we had to bring him to Green Acres Veterinary hospital in Buffalo, NY. He had to get multiple tests and X-rays done, which came to $1,110.84. Due to this, we had to get the Care Credit card to afford his treatment. They told us then that he was anemic as well. They could not confirm nor deny that he had an upper respiratory infection from the X-ray, so he is on antibiotics for that right now. The next day our vet advised us that it would be best to bring him back in, so that he could be hospitalized and get more fluids and be monitored. This visit came to $326.26. He then developed an eye infection which he is being treated for also. While we don't have a confirmed diagnosis of why he cannot put on weight, we believe he is suffering from fading kitten syndrome, which can be fatal. We are hoping to raise money to cover the current and future vet bills, so we can help Monty live a full life. Thank you so much to everyone who donates or shares.
