Help my family and husband reclaim their stolen lives inGaza

Hello, my name is Awatif. I created this fundraiser in the hope of helping my husband and my family which consists of Bassam 5 years old, Kenan 1 year and half, and my husband (Mohammed) 29 years old. My family lives in very difficult conditions in Gaza.

After October 7, everything changed. The first few weeks were very difficult. We barely had any contact with the outside world or even with our family members

In Gaza, all communication was cut off and in the end, we had to evacuate from the north and head to the south on the orders of the Israeli army. We were told to take a route that was considered safe. My children and I witnessed the unimaginable. The route we were advised to take was unsafe. We faced humiliation when we were ordered to raise white flags during the evacuation process. Doesn't this remind you of the great catastrophe of 1948? The catastrophe was the ethnic cleansing of the Palestinians during the 1948 war through their violent expression and the confiscation of their land and property.

As mentioned, we were eventually forced to the south (Rafah), living in a small tent and sleeping on the sand, under very difficult and harsh conditions. Little food, water, hygiene supplies, constant shelling, constant fear, constant anxiety, etc. We held our heads high and told ourselves that the war would end soon.

It's a pity that my house spent 5 years decorating and organizing it. And our work that we worked so hard for. My husband's workplace was destroyed as a result of the Israeli bombing and my husband's workplace was destroyed as a result of the Israeli bombing.

How can the heart live after all these catastrophic events? Don't we deserve to be happy and safe? Are we less human than others who are not residents of Gaza?
